Terms of Service

Last updated: 12 April 2026

These terms govern your use of VidFinder. We've written them in plain English — if anything is unclear, email us and we'll explain.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating a VidFinder account, downloading the VidFinder application, or using any part of the VidFinder service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use VidFinder.

These Terms form a legally binding contract between you and Wyler Marketing Ltd (Company No. 14047902) ("VidFinder", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales.

2. Description of service

VidFinder is a Mac desktop application for video editors. It lets you tag, search, and preview video footage stored locally or on cloud storage, and drag clips directly into your editing timeline.

Access to VidFinder requires a paid subscription. We offer a free trial period (see Section 5) so you can evaluate the software before committing.

VidFinder is designed for personal and professional use on Apple Mac computers running a supported version of macOS. It is not authorised for use on any other platform.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

  • Do not share your login details with anyone else.
  • Notify us immediately at support@vidfinder.io if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms (see Section 13).

4. Free trial

New accounts receive a free trial period as advertised at the time of sign-up. No payment is taken during the trial. When the trial ends, your account will be automatically downgraded to a limited free tier unless you have activated a paid subscription.

We reserve the right to modify the trial period length or discontinue it at any time. Only one free trial is available per person; creating multiple accounts to extend a trial is not permitted.

5. Subscription & payment

VidFinder is available on monthly and annual subscription plans. Current pricing is displayed on our pricing page. All prices are in British Pounds (GBP) and inclusive of any applicable VAT.

Prices are inclusive of any applicable VAT. Payment is handled by Paddle, who acts as the authorised Merchant of Record for VidFinder subscriptions. This means your invoice, receipt, and any VAT charges are issued by Paddle, not VidFinder directly. Your card details are held by Paddle — VidFinder never stores or processes payment card information.

We may change prices with at least 30 days' written notice to your registered email address. Price changes take effect at your next renewal date.

6. Auto-renewal & cancellation

Important: your subscription renews automatically

Unless you cancel before the end of your current billing period, your subscription will automatically renew and your payment method will be charged at the then-current price. You authorise us to make these recurring charges.

To cancel: Go to Account → Billing → Cancel subscription inside the VidFinder app or website, or email support@vidfinder.io. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period — you retain full access until then.

Cancelling your subscription does not automatically entitle you to a refund. Please see our Refund Policy for details.

For annual subscribers, we will send a reminder email before your renewal date so you have time to cancel if you wish.

7. Consumer cancellation right (14-day cooling-off)

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, if you are a consumer purchasing a subscription from within the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, you normally have a right to cancel within 14 days of purchase without giving any reason ("cooling-off period").

Waiver of the cooling-off period for digital services: By starting your VidFinder subscription and downloading or accessing the application before the 14-day period expires, you acknowledge that: (a) performance of the digital service has begun at your explicit request; and (b) you lose your right to cancel under the cooling-off period once access has commenced. You will be given the opportunity to confirm this at checkout before payment is taken.

If you have not yet downloaded VidFinder, you may still cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. To do so, email support@vidfinder.io.

8. Licence to use VidFinder

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to:

  • Download and install VidFinder on Mac computers that you own or control.
  • Use VidFinder for your personal or professional video editing work.

You may not:

  • Copy, distribute, sell, sublicence, or transfer VidFinder to any third party.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software.
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.
  • Use VidFinder in any automated or bulk manner not intended by the product.

VidFinder and all intellectual property rights in it remain the sole property of Wyler Marketing Ltd. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to use VidFinder to:

  • Process or store illegal content (including content that infringes third-party intellectual property).
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or another user's account.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of our services.
  • Use the service in any way that violates applicable law.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal data. By using VidFinder you agree to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

VidFinder is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that VidFinder will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every macOS version. We may release updates at any time; we are not obliged to maintain any particular feature set.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law (including the Consumer Rights Act 2015).

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or your use of VidFinder is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim.

We will not be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in this section limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

13. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, fail to pay fees when due, or if we believe your use poses a risk to us or other users. We will give you reasonable notice unless immediate action is necessary.

On termination: your licence ends immediately; your data may be deleted after a 30-day grace period; and any outstanding fees remain payable. Sections relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of VidFinder after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance. If you do not accept the changes, you may cancel your subscription before the new Terms take effect.

15. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of VidFinder will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales — except that, if you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in those jurisdictions.

Before resorting to formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at support@vidfinder.io — we are a small team and want to resolve issues fairly.
